What is ECPR
ECPR is rightly considered a point of reference for European political scientists through its website, electronic bulletins and an online search database. It boasts close contacts with similar organizations, such as the national European associations, as well as with APSA, the American Political Science Association, and IPSA, the International Political Science Association.
ECPR publishes important scientific journals and series of sector studies with the most accredited non-fiction publishers on the market. It brings together thousands of scholars in conferences and meetings throughout Europe and awards the most prestigious prizes in its specific field of academic studies.
Governance
The Executive Committee (EC) is made up of twelve elected members of the ECPR community. Elections take place every three years and members hold a six-year tenure, ensuring continuity. The current EC will serve the term 2024–27. For this term, Daniela Irrera is appointed Chair, with Amy Verdun serving as Vice Chair.
As Trustees of ECPR, the Executive Committee is responsible for all aspects of the running of the organisation. To handle this effectively, it delegates many of its responsibilities to Subcommittees and Working Groups, to the Director and Staff. The EC’s work is divided into four subcommittees, each guiding the strategic direction of that portfolio.

Cos'è l'ECPR
L'ECPR è ritenuta, a ragione, un punto di riferimento per i politologi europei attraverso il suo sito web, i bollettini elettronici e un database di riceca on-line. Vanta stretti contatti con organizzazioni simili, come le associazioni europee nazionali, nonchè con l'APSA, American Political Science Association, e l' IPSA, l'International Political Science Association.
ECPR pubblica importanti riviste scientifiche e collane di studi di settore con i più accreditati editori di saggistica sul mercato. Raccoglie migliaia di studiosi in conferenze ed incontri in tutta Europa ed assegna i più prestigiosi premi esistenti nel suo specifico campo di studi accademici.
La governance
Il Comitato esecutivo (EC) è composto da dodici membri eletti dalla comunità ECPR. Le elezioni si svolgono ogni tre anni e i membri hanno un mandato di sei anni, garantendo continuità. L'attuale EC ricoprirà il mandato 2024-27. Per questo mandato, Daniela Irrera è nominata Presidente, con Amy Verdun che ricopre il ruolo di Vice Presidente.
In qualità di Trustees di ECPR, il Comitato esecutivo è responsabile di tutti gli aspetti della gestione dell'organizzazione. Per gestirlo in modo efficace, delega molte delle sue responsabilità a Sottocomitati e Gruppi di lavoro, al Direttore e allo Staff. Il lavoro dell'EC è suddiviso in quattro sottocomitati, ognuno dei quali guida la direzione strategica di quel portafoglio.
