ECB cuts interest rates to support flagging eurozone economy

Il Consiglio direttivo ha deciso di abbassare i tre tassi di interesse chiave della BCE di 25 punti base

EN - The European Central Bank cut interest rates for the third time this year on Thursday 17 October, pointing out that inflation in the euro zone is now increasingly under control and the economic outlook has worsened. The Governing Council decided to lower the three key ECB interest rates by 25 basis points. Accordingly, the interest rates on the deposit facility, the main refinancing operations and the marginal lending facility will be decreased to 3.25%, 3.40% and 3.65% respectively, with effect from 23 October 2024.

 

FR - La Banque centrale européenne a abaissé ses taux d'intérêt pour la troisième fois cette année le jeudi 17 octobre, soulignant que l'inflation dans la zone euro est désormais de mieux en mieux maîtrisée et que les perspectives économiques se sont dégradées. Le Conseil des gouverneurs a décidé d'abaisser les trois taux d'intérêt directeurs de la BCE de 25 points de base. En conséquence, les taux d'intérêt de la facilité de dépôt, des opérations principales de refinancement et de la facilité de prêt marginal seront respectivement abaissés à 3,25 %, 3,40 % et 3,65 %, à compter du 23 octobre 2024.

 

IT - La Banca centrale europea ha tagliato i tassi di interesse per la terza volta nel 2024 giovedì 17 ottobre, sottolineando che l'inflazione nella zona euro è ora sempre più sotto controllo e le prospettive economiche sono peggiorate. Il Consiglio direttivo ha deciso di abbassare i tre tassi di interesse chiave della BCE di 25 punti base. Di conseguenza, i tassi di interesse sulla deposit facility, sulle operazioni di rifinanziamento principali e sulle operazioni di prestito marginale saranno ridotti rispettivamente al 3,25%, al 3,40% e al 3,65%, con effetto dal 23 ottobre 2024.
