Europolitiche lancia "Discovering the Balkans", il nuovo progetto finanziato Erasmus+

Will you come with us in spring 2027? Europolitiche Launches "Discovering the Balkans," the new Erasmus+ project!

EU/ENG - Heading for Belgrade: New Adult Erasmus+ Project Gets Underway

Europolitiche has been granted approval for its new Erasmus+ KA122-ADU Adult Education project titled "Discovering the Balkans," marking a milestone in the international consolidation of its cross-media information platform. This major recognition fits seamlessly into the Association’s growth trajectory, as it simultaneously works on establishing "La collina d'Europa" (The Hill of Europe) community library on the slopes of Fiesole—a public space in Florence housing over 4,000 volumes dedicated to European history and integration.

The new Erasmus+ project represents the natural methodological follow-up to the 2025 "Cross Media Europe" initiative. On that occasion, Europolitiche successfully organized a study visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, laying the groundwork to transform its portal into a multilingual platform. With "Discovering the Balkans," the association expands its strategic and educational axis toward the Balkan region, promoting a bus-based "journey of memory" through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.

In the spring of 2027, the initiative will engage 30 adult participants and 3 trainers in a 9-day mobility program focused on active European citizenship, media literacy, and deconstructing fake news in the age of artificial intelligence. The core activities will take place near Belgrade in collaboration with the Novi Sad School of Journalism, an organization specialized in multimedia fact-checking. Along the route, symbolic locations such as Sarajevo (In the top photo, the Sarajevo library—destroyed in 1992 and since rebuilt—remains a powerful symbol of peace and integration), Mostar, and Srebrenica will be visited.

The Europolitiche Association project unites the active promotion of EU sources and institutions with a commitment to tackling educational poverty and expanding its network of citizen journalists. The primary objective is to evolve its independent editorial team into a structured European think tank.

The outcomes of the mobility and the produced reporting will feed directly into the association's daily activities and training modules. Building on this experience, Europolitiche will bolster its weekly editorial coverage, broadening its focus toward candidate countries for the 2030 EU enlargement and delivering a privileged, grass-roots observation point accessible to the entire citizenry.

The call for participants to select the candidates will be launched shortly.
