After the G7, the White House prepared attack on Iran launched on June 22

Partecipando in settimana al G7 Trump, pur cauto nelle dichiarazioni, aveva già dato l'impressione di voler sostenere concretamente Israele contro l'Iran

EU/EN - It was already understood at the G7 on June 16–17 that the military escalation between Israel and Iran was not very containable or did not want to be stopped by the United States itself. The summit in Canada, although born with economic purposes, had transformed into a very political summit. The discussion had quickly shifted from economic cooperation to a heartfelt reflection on the escalation in the Middle East. The "condemnation of Iranian aggression" and "solidarity with Israel" in the G7 declarations had de facto aligned the results of the Canadian summit with the strategic narrative of Trump, who returned to Washington a day earlier, aimed at legitimizing a possible attack, giving greater impact to the American role, against Iranian nuclear sites. This was confirmed by the military action conducted on Sunday June 22 in Iran.
